Description

The Chateau Miraval Rose is so called because a previous owner, Jacques Loussier, installed a recording studio at Chateau Miraval and it was in this studio that Pink Floyd recorded part of their ground-breaking album The Wall.

Chateau Miraval is now well known for its wines, white wines under the Coteaux Varois appellation and red, white and ros wine under the Ctes de Provence appellation, the Guide Hachette called it one of France's top 500 wine producers. The wines now have organic status, certified by Ecocert.Soils are a mix of limestone and clay.

VINIFICATION

All our wines are produced from biological cultivation. Certified by Ecocert.. Made by saigne method where grapes are allowed to gently bleed for three hours. Three-week fermentation at low temperatures follows to preserve the natural aromas. Light filtration before bottling.

TASTING NOTES

Lovely pale pink, clear colour. The nose is intense, with delicate raspberry and red fruits-of-the-forest flavours. Shows finesse and complexity on a long, refreshing finish.

FOOD MATCHING

Served chilled, as an aperitif, or with crisp summer salads, aubergine and tomato dishes, salmon and shellfish.

Old vine Cinsault (80%), Grenache (20%).
