This estate of 8 uninterrupted hectares, which has been owned for several decades now by Jean-Franois Carrille, is situated in the municipality of
Lussac. The vines are planted on a mainly clay soil which yields generous, robust wines. The harvesting is done by hand to preserve the great
aromatic potential of the grapes.
The 2009 shows a deep garnet red with purple tints. Generous nose of spice combined with overripe fruit, making an intense whole. Frank on attack, the palate is sustained by velvety tannins and fleshy extract that evolves right to finish, with blackcurrant and blackberry dominating the aromatic end-of-palate. A wine from a legendary vintage and an exceptional terroir.
