Description
The Carte dOr cuve is the very expression of the Drappier style. With 80 to 90% of PinotNoir, 5% of
Pinot Meunier and 5 to 15% of Chardonnay, one can almost taste a Blanc de Noirs.
It is rich gold, even coppery gold in colour. No technique of vinification is al lowed to alter the
natural colour of the cuve. On the nose, the bouquet of sweet briar, quickly gives way to the aromas of stoned fruits, such as the white peach of the vines. A spicy hint announces a powerful and complex impact in the
mouth. On the palate the ensemble is immediately vinous, dominated by ripe fruits: peach, apricot
and red fruits. The natural freshness is only lightly clothed by a discreet dosage, ensuring a finish of
great length.
As it continues to mature, the Carte dOr will surprise you with notes of gingerbread, preserved fruits and Viennese pastries.
The yellow and gold label, created in 1952, is the distintive sign of a rich, delicious, beautifully fresh cuve.
