Description
The Lot 71 is based around a barrel of 1971 and is therefore approximately 33 years old. The character one finds in the 10 is still very much in evidence, however it has mellowed considerably and has developed a rich, oily, creamy style with an almost savoury complexity. Notes of 'rancio charentias' are clearly in evidnece and again the balance is superb. This is as good a Cognac as I have tasted in a long time and whilst it is arguably not as contemplative as something like Ragnaud Sabourin Alliance 35 Fontvieille it really is a classic and the connoisseurs will surely love it.
