Benromach Origins is a series of special bottlings crafted to highlight how small changes in the art of whisky making can help shape the character of the final single malt. This third batch release in the series has been created using the finest Golden Promise Barley. Distilled 1999. Bottled 2008. 4ppm phenols.
COLOUR: Dark golden.
:NOSE: Initial buttery note, delicate floral influences. A prominent toasted malt note with subtle sherry notes in the background.
PALATE: Starts creamy and becomes very sweet. Heavily toasted malt influences with a very delicate smoke. Mouth watering and complex.
:NOSE: Prominent sweetness with heavy malt influences. Delicate orange peel note and some smoke.
PALATE: Initially peppery, becomes sweeter with a very subtle smoke in the background. Mouth watering and smooth.
FINISH: Long and balanced.
